Uday Rao has been appointed Marketing Director at Allied Blenders & Distillers Ltd., strengthening the company’s leadership as it continues to expand its spirits portfolio and strengthen brand positioning in the competitive alcoholic beverages market.

In this role, Uday will lead the company’s marketing strategy, focusing on brand development, consumer engagement, and portfolio growth across its flagship spirits brands. He will also work on strengthening market presence and driving strategic initiatives to support the company’s long-term growth ambitions.

Uday brings extensive experience in brand strategy, category management, and market development. Prior to this appointment, he spent more than seven years at Pernod Ricard India, where he held several leadership roles including Marketing Leader – North Zone, Region Business Head for Rajasthan, and Category Head for Standard Scotches. During his tenure, he played a key role in driving brand growth and strengthening market share across key product categories.

Earlier in his career, he held roles at Vodafone Essar, MetLife India Insurance Company Pvt. Ltd., Perfint Healthcare Pvt Ltd., and McDowell & Co Ltd.
