Dr. Aslam Deshmukh has been elevated to Head of Business Unit – Sales and Marketing at Sun Pharma, effective March 2026. Based in Mumbai, he will lead the strategic direction for key therapeutic segments, focusing on market leadership, brand growth, and portfolio expansion for one of the world’s largest specialty generic pharmaceutical companies.

Dr. Deshmukh brings over 16 years of exemplary experience in pharmaceutical marketing, chronic therapy management, and brand strategy. Prior to this elevation, he served as Deputy General Manager at Sun Pharma, where he played a key leadership role in driving growth across cardiovascular and metabolic therapy segments. During his tenure, he led the Coronus CVD team, contributing to the strong market presence of the Rosuvas statin portfolio while supporting growth across diabetes and heart failure therapies.

Earlier in his career, he held key roles at USV Private Limited, Centaur Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Unichem Laboratories Limited, and Macleods Pharmaceuticals Ltd., where he worked on major therapeutic brands and portfolio expansion initiatives.
