New Delhi, 27 February 2026: In a strategic move to embed ethics and governance at the core of enterprise AI innovation, Vertex Group has announced the launch of its Responsible AI Lab, alongside a ₹100 crore investment in research and development over the next three years. The initiative forms a central pillar of the company’s Vertex 2.0 strategy, aimed at accelerating global expansion and advancing its ambition of becoming a ₹1,000-crore digital enterprise.
The Responsible AI Lab will deepen research in multi-agent architectures, context-aware decisioning, and robust AI governance frameworks. Building on the success of VAssist—Vertex’s in-house AI platform that has transformed contact centre operations through real-time agent assistance and intelligent automation—the Lab will prioritise transparency, security, explainability, and ethical stewardship across all AI deployments.
Founder and President Gagan Arora emphasised that responsible AI must augment human ingenuity while upholding the highest standards of accountability. Complementing its R&D roadmap, Vertex’s plan to upskill over 8,000 AI professionals in India by 2028 is expected to further strengthen the responsible AI ecosystem across fintech, agritech, and healthtech sectors.
