Sameer Gaur has been appointed President, Global Freight Services at Wabtec Corporation, where he will lead the company’s global services portfolio supporting freight locomotive operations across international markets.

In this role, Sameer will oversee initiatives focused on improving the reliability, availability, and operational performance of locomotive fleets across more than 20 countries. He will also work closely with customers and partners to enhance service delivery, strengthen long-term relationships, and expand Wabtec’s global services capabilities.

Sameer brings extensive leadership experience and has been associated with Wabtec for over seven years. Prior to this appointment, he served as Group President at Global Transit Services Inc., where he worked with customers across multiple geographies and platforms while driving operational improvements through the company’s global service network.

During his tenure, he also led key portfolios within Global Freight Services Ltd., including parts, modernization programs, and product management. He further contributed to strategic initiatives during the integration of GE Transportation with Wabtec, strengthening the organization’s global rail technology and services ecosystem.
