Suresh Babu has been appointed Business Unit Director – Eye Care at AbbVie India, where he will lead the company’s Eye Care business and drive strategy, commercial excellence, and sustainable growth across the specialized therapy segment. In this role, he will focus on strengthening AbbVie’s market presence while building high-performing teams and advancing patient-focused healthcare solutions.

Suresh brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning sales, marketing, operations, and enterprise transformation. Prior to joining AbbVie, he spent over two decades with Sanofi, where he held several senior leadership positions including Business Unit Head – Diabetes, Head – Renal & Transplants Business Unit, and Head of Business Operations & Support.

During his tenure at Sanofi, he led diabetes operations in India, expanded therapeutic portfolios, and strengthened commercial excellence frameworks while advancing digital and omnichannel transformation initiatives.
