Engineering Giant Quest Global Acquires BITSILICA to Strengthen Semiconductor Design Capabilities Manufacturing


Quest Global, the Singapore-headquartered engineering services firm with over 22,000 employees across 18 countries, has acquired Bengaluru-based semiconductor design company BITSILICA. The strategic move aims to enhance Quest Global’s semiconductor portfolio and build comprehensive end-to-end capabilities, spanning chip design, verification, and software integration.

Founded in 2019, BITSILICA has grown rapidly, employing over 500 engineers across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Singapore, and Malaysia. The company brings deep expertise in ASIC design, design verification, physical design, and embedded software. Its advanced capabilities in functional and formal verification, gate-level simulation, and power-aware validation will strengthen Quest Global’s offerings, particularly for industries such as automotive and semiconductors.

Ajit Prabhu, Co-founder and CEO of Quest Global, emphasized that the acquisition aligns with the company’s vision of becoming a trusted global engineering partner. Bhaskar Kakani, Co-founder and CEO of BITSILICA, described the move as a significant milestone, highlighting strong alignment in innovation and customer-centric engineering.
