Sarvam AI has announced the launch of a new vertical, Chanakya, aimed at delivering applied AI solutions for institutions where reliability, security, and control are critical. The move formalizes over a year of focused development on full-stack AI systems designed for complex enterprise and national-scale use cases.

The Chanakya vertical will cater to regulated industries and strategic sectors that cannot depend on public cloud or consumer-grade tools. Sarvam AI highlighted capabilities such as on-premise deployments in air-gapped environments, multi-modal data ingestion, and production-grade agentic workflows tailored for mission-critical operations. The solutions are designed with “dual-use” potential, supporting both enterprise and strategic applications.

This announcement follows the company’s recent launch of its in-house models, Sarvam-30B and Sarvam-105B, along with products like Sarvam Vision, Sarvam Dub, and Sarvam Kaze smart glasses. Sarvam AI is also reportedly in early discussions to raise $250–$300 million from investors including NVIDIA, HCLTech, and Accel.
