MKS Inc. has inaugurated Vacuum Solutions and Photonics Solutions engineering laboratories at its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, strengthening its product development capabilities in semiconductor manufacturing and advanced photonics technologies.

The new laboratories are designed to support next-generation vacuum systems, optical technologies, and semiconductor manufacturing solutions, while enabling deeper collaboration with global customers and engineering teams. The expansion reflects the company’s focus on leveraging India’s growing pool of highly skilled engineering and technology talent.

Commenting on the development, Eric Taranto, Executive Vice President and General Manager – VSD at MKS Inc., noted that the addition of the Vacuum Solutions Division (VSD) and Photonics Solutions Division (PSD) labs strengthens the organization’s engineering ecosystem and enhances its ability to tap into Karnataka’s strong technology and innovation landscape.

The new facilities will play a key role in accelerating research, innovation, and product engineering for semiconductor and photonics applications, supporting MKS Inc.’s global technology roadmap.
