Lalit L. has been appointed Head of Retail Credit Risk at Mashreq, marking a strategic addition to the bank’s leadership team. With over 25 years of global experience across the UK, Europe, and Asia, Lalit brings deep expertise in retail, SME, and wealth risk management.

He previously served as the Founding Chief Risk Officer at Trust Bank Singapore and has held senior leadership roles at Standard Chartered, Barclays, and Citigroup. His career reflects a strong track record in building robust risk frameworks and driving sustainable portfolio growth.

In his new role at Mashreq, Lalit will oversee retail credit policy, underwriting, portfolio management, fraud risk, and digital decisioning. He will also play a key role in enhancing governance standards and accelerating the digitization of credit processes.
