BNY has appointed Chetan Kotwal as Managing Director and Global Head of Architecture Hub, marking his return to the world’s largest custodian bank. In this key global leadership role, Kotwal will lead the firm’s architectural transformation, defining strategic technology frameworks that ensure a resilient, scalable, and future-ready infrastructure for complex global financial markets.

Chetan brings over 30 years of experience in financial technology, algorithmic engineering, and strategic architecture, having held senior roles at leading investment banks and asset managers including Goldman Sachs, Barclays Investment Bank, Man Group, and BNP Paribas. His global expertise spans London, New York, and Pune. Prior to rejoining BNY, he served as Managing Director of Index Engineering at MSCI Inc and worked as an independent advisor and investor.
