ZEISS India has elevated Industry Veteran Baskar Kesavalu as Head of Product Development for Vision Care Solutions, effective March 1, 2026. Based in Bengaluru, he will report to Eric Nehrbass, Head of Vision Care Solutions at ZEISS Group.

In his new role, Kesavalu will lead the global product development organisation for Vision Care Solutions, driving innovation across the company’s expanding portfolio. His responsibilities will include advancing ZEISS’ consultation platforms, strengthening integrated solution partner products, and supporting the development of next-generation technologies aimed at improving eye care delivery worldwide.

Kesavalu joined ZEISS India in 2025 as Head of Vision Technology Solutions. He brings more than three decades of experience in product development, engineering leadership, and technology-driven innovation across global organisations.

Prior to joining ZEISS, he held senior leadership roles at GE HealthCare, where he led global product development and product management initiatives across healthcare technology platforms. His extensive experience in building scalable technology solutions and managing global engineering teams positions him to accelerate ZEISS’ innovation roadmap in vision care.
